Rain is the fluid for the earth.
Without it there would be no life,
Just collections of sand and dirt.
Rain is the drink for the flowers.
Without it they would have no strength.
They would be weak and easily hurt.
Rain is a disaster for most people.
It's wet and dirty for them.
They would rather have none of it.
For me, rain is a cloak.
Because when I am crying in sorrow
No one will be able to see

this is the view my best friend had on rain when she was having depression trouble. now she's just like the most of us. she hates it

The idea of the rain being a cloak is a lovely one, if a little sad. I like the images this poem brings to mind.
